A fighter jet engaging in the counter-insurgency operation in the North-East on Wednesday attacked a village in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe State, killing at least ten people.
Yunusari is in the Northern part of Yobe State, sharing an international border with the Niger Republic.
According to residents, Around 8:30 a.m, a military fighter jet came from the town’s eastern borders and began firing sporadically.
However, a military insider who confirmed the incident informed us that while targeting a Boko Haram insurgent base in the area, the Air Force “accidentally” hit the wrong locations.
