Confirming the incident, Acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, said only one person was killed, contrary to earlier reports of two persons being killed.

While cause of the violence was still sketchy at press time, sources suggest it could be a resumption of a communal crisis in the communities.

Findings gathered by our correspondent reveal that the neighbouring communities had engaged in a communal war in the past.
