One Olaniyi Ayomide met his ruin as he was crushed to death at about 8:30pm by a planks-loaded van trying to escape Amotekun’s arrest.

The 10 year old boy gave up the ghost on his way home apace with parents after closing from their shop.

The incident happened at Ayeyemi area of Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.

Dele, an eyewitness, said the parents and the deceased were oblivious of the oncoming speeding van.

The driver of the van had been previously warned against channeling planks in the night.

The accident was thereby, the result of attempting evading law enforcement officers.

However, the van driver was eventually arrested by Amotekun Corps he was avoiding.

Dele said: “The man tried to evade arrest by Amotekun men and in the process, he knocked down the boy and crushed him to death. ”

“I sighted the van, but before I could call their attention to it, it was too late as the van was already close to them.”

The corpse had been evacuated by the patrol team of FRSC, Federal Road Safety Corps.
