Protesters under the aegis of Buhari Must Go campaign took to the streets of Abuja on Friday to call for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The protest started in the early hours of Friday, October 1, Nigeria’s Independence Day at the popular Dantata Bridge along Airport Road in Abuja.

The protesters were seen carrying placards with varying inscriptions and made bonfires along the highway.

The protesters barely finished converging to commence demonstration when the police invaded the protest venue.

The police fired tear gas canisters while giving them a hot chase as they scampered for safety.
