Bandits Niger State has now become the target place of bandits as there is fresh banditry attack on Thursday.

The invasion saw no less than 30 residents of communities murdered in Munya LGA in Niger.

In addition to the murder, seven women were reportedly abducted in the process.

Recall that 19 persons were feared dead in Magami, a village in Shiroro LGA of Niger, while several people were reportedly missing following attack by bandits.

Daily Trust confirmed the fresh abduction which took place in Sabon Kachiwe.

The State Government Secretary, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, confirmed that that 9 persons were killed in Shape, 13 obliterated in Kachiwe while 6 in another village, all in Munya LGA, Sarkin Pawa Ward precisely.

A resident of one of the communities also divulged the fact that the bandits set 10 persons aflame in their rooms, as 4 were also butchered in Sabon Kachiwe village alone.

Subsequently, the telecommunication masts in the area were reportedly caused to pulverize by the bandits.

The source’s statement reads: “Ten persons were burnt to ashes in their rooms; some people were shot while some were slaughtered. They also went away with 7 of our women. We could not contact the security forces as at the time the attacks were going on because of the seizure of mobile telecommunication network in area.”

“After attacking Sabon Kachiwe where 14 persons were killed, they proceeded to Shape village, very close to Sabon Kachiwe and killed 9 persons. They also went to Gogofe, another village very close by and killed 7 People. The villagers could not communicate via telephone because of the seizure of the network in the area. ”

An anonymous source who revealed that the dead bodies have been given a mass burial on Thursday, bemoaned about the whereabouts of the kidnapped women.

He has in his words: “the bandits too would not be able to contact us because there’s no network.”

“When they left the villages, at the main road, they met a broken car, being repaired by a mechanic. The owner of the car and mechanic were tied and slaughtered. Their remains were also recovered. “
