The Blues doubled up their defeat in midweek when they suffered another loss to Juventus in the Champions league.
Saturday’s triumph is a continuance to Tuchel’s record of not having lost back-to-back Premier League matches since his appointment in January.
Trevoh Chalobah put the hosts ahead after nine minutes, swooping at the back post to nod his 2nd goal for this season after Ruben Loftus-Cheek flicked on Chilwell’s corner.

The Saints who frustrated Tuchel’s side after equalizing in the 61st minute weighed down when Werner scored the second goal in the final six minutes.
The goal came in after the visitors were been reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute.
James Ward-Prowse of Southampton who had an equalizer by penalty against Tuchel’s side in the 61st minute was later sent off for a dangerous challenge on Jorginho after referee Martin Atkinson viewed the pitchside monitor.
That makes it the first time James Ward-Prowse would be sent off in over six years.
Chelsea third goal was netted by a wonderful strike from Chilwell who scored in the 89th minute.
The hosts had made a dominant start and were supposed to have beaten the hell out of the visitors before halftime as Werner was denied a lot of chances.
VAR also revoked Timo Werner’s goal in the 44th minute due to a previously committed foul.
A dominant Chelsea side also had the ball in the net by Lukaku before half time but he was flagged offside.
The Saints who have not won in the league this season have recorded four draws and two defeats so far.
