Ben Igbakpa, a member of the House of Representatives has recounted his ugly experience at the Ghana airport.
Hon Ben lamented that he was delayed for about 4 hours by the Ghanian authorities over an allegation made by President Buhari that a lawmaker was sponsoring the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB
The lawmaker added that he was not able to attend the wedding he had been invited to honour due to the detainment.

Mr Igbakpa said that a Ghanian officer told him that Nigerian lawmakers have been obstructed by the government from seeking sanctuary in Ghana.
In reaction to the embarrassing happening, Igbakpa said President Buhari should mention the name of the lawmaker sponsoring terrorism.

His failure to specifically point out the person involved amid his Independent Anniversary speech has soiled all lawmakers who are now regarded as suspects.
The Lawmakers have therefore, made a resolution that the President should name the suspect and prosecution should then follow.
Igbakpa said: “On Saturday, I had to honour an invitation to Ghana for a wedding, Mr Speaker, it will amaze you what I faced in the hands of Ghanian officials. They detained me for about four hours, that they were trying to confirm something.”
“I stayed at the airport for 4 hours, missed the wedding I went for and at the end of the day, one of them walked up to me saying sorry sir there’s an announcement in Nigeria that a member of parliament is sponsoring terrorism and we are put on red alert to ensure that no member of parliament comes here to hide or cause trouble. ”
