Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi who plays as a defensive midfielder for Leicester City has been ranked among the top 100 players in the world.
The 24-year-old who has always been highly rated both on and off pitch is the only Nigerian player to have been ranked among the top 100 by the EA Sports’ FIFA 22 construction.
Ndidi is now placed 82nd as an improvement to last year 134th position following ranking by the American video games company, Electronic Arts.

Following his departure from Genk to join Leicester in 2017, he has over the years attracted interests from a number of giant teams in the English Premier league.
His relentless efforts and agility on the field has therefore doubled his value on the transfer market.
Darren Bent, former England International via an interview noted: “Ndidi is that good, he is the best for me. Rice and Phillips are not bad, but the way Ndidi plays, I think he is better. ”

“And even went on to predict that he can be the best replacement for Ngolo Kante at Chelsea, should the man he replaced at Leicester City leave the Blues.”
Bent added: “His partnership with Youri Tielemans is one of the best in the Premier League. He’s that kind of player who can go to Chelsea and replace Ngolo Kante. ”
Similarly, Trevor Sinclair, ex-Manchester City star in an interview with Talksport also had this to say;
“I actually looked at Ndidi, and thought there are not many better than him in the Premier League, and probably in Europe. ”
“Really good player, very probably underrated, undervalued. But I wouldn’t have thought he’s undervalued by Brendan Rodgers and his team mates because I’m sure they appreciate everything that he brings to that team. He makes them tick.”
