Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has pleaded not guilty to amended charges leveled against him by the Nigeria Federal Government.

Daily Report Nigeria earlier reported the arraignment of the secession leader at the Federal High Court, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The IPOB leader is being tried for a seven-count bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism amended by the Federal Government amended last week.

Nnamdi Kanu pleaded pleading not guilty, causing the presiding judge to order an adjournment till November 10, 2021.

The supreme leader by the adjournment remain in the custody of the Department of State Services after his request to be transferred to a correctional centre was denied.

Meanwhile, foremost activist and publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore was deprived from entering the courtroom by the DSS.

Journalists and lawyers were also prevented from accessing the trial venue by security operatives.
