Real Madrid Beat Barca 2-1 in First El Clasico Without Messi, Ramos | Daily Report Nigeria

Real Madrid triumphed 2-1 over Barcelona in a new-look El Clasico on Sunday 24th, October.

The first Clasico without Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos since 2004 goes to La Casa Blanca on goals by David Alaba and Lucas Vasquez.

At Camp Nou, neither team actually looked good but Barça looked a little worse creating plenty of chances but failed to convert them to goals.

The hosts clearly lack scorers with that innate instinct like Messi, Griezmann, Luis Suárez. What a pity!

The win therefore, marks Los Blancos’s four consecutive Clasico victories for the first time since 1965.

David Alaba, who joined Madrid in the summer broke the deadlock on his el Clasico debut with a wonderful goal in the 32nd minute converting Rodrygo’s assist.

Lucas Vazquez however, streched Los Vikingos’s lead in the injury time before Sergio Aguero had a late riposte, registering his first goal for Blaugranes through Sergino Dest’s assist.

The victory sees the visitors climb the penultimate spot with just 1 point below Real Sociedad who top La Liga with 21 points.

To Culers’s detriment, the loss has descended them to eight position.
