Pastor Sylvester Yerinbide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has been reported dead after he was allegedly attacked by hoodlums in Aladja Community, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State.
Yerinbide who hailed from Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri Southwest council was reportedly attacked on Friday night on his way to vigil in aladja community by some hoodlums
The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in Ogbe-Ijoh Comrade Akemotubo Victor said assailants are from Aladja community. He also expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and condemned the act.

Urging the Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Victor said the Government should fishout whoever was involved in the attack so they can face the full wrath of the law.
“We call on the Delta State Government and security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators of this dastardly acts to justice.” he said
“We are not cowards. We are being pushed to the wall and heaven will not fall if we retaliate” he added
The Aladja Community Vigilante Chairman, Comrade Bezi Ighotegwolor however denied the claim stating that an internal investigation was ongoing.
“it is not true that assailants from Aladja community killed Sylvester.
He said,
“Who saw them and how did the person know they were from Aladja community? Was it Sylvester who told IYC?
“Aladja community is denying complicity and therefore calls on the Government and security agencies to carry out an autopsy on the dead.”
Recall that the two communities clashed in the past but the state government brokered peace about two years ago.
