Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is taking a early lead judging by results gathered from five Local Government Areas in the ongoing governorship election.

According to Daily Trust, he local governments are Awka South, Onitsha South and Enugu Anambra East, Anaocha, and Anambra East.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that collation of the Anambra election results will continue on Sunday November 7.

Results of only 5 LGAs out of the 21 in Anambra have been announced at collation centers, giving a clean sweep to the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor.

So far, Soludo has garnered a total of 38,413 votes from the five LGAs. Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), trails Soludo with 14,543 votes, while Senator Andy Uba of the APC, comes in a distant third with 8,145 votes.
