An Australian goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich has enjoined Dean Henderson of Manchester United to leave the club straight away.

The 24-year-old Henderson who had more than 12 league appearances last season had fought hard to become Solksjaer’s number one but his plan was disrupted this season after he suffered from COVID-19 in July.

That said, he was able to stay at the goal post for the Red Devils against West Ham on match day 3 of the EFL Cup in September, his only appearance for this season.

Henderson is now eager to be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar, causing the need for more game times.

In light of that, the former Manchester United and Chelsea shot-stopper has told Henderson to pack his belongings and leave Old Trafford amidst interest from Newcastle United.

However, the impeding block will be the club’s hesitation to dispose of him in the January transfer window.

Bosnich told talkSPORT Breakfast:“I think he should go. He’s at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football.”

“He’ ll know that as well. I understand that at the start of the season, him having a go in pre-season to see how things plan out.”

“De Gea has been excellent and there’ s no doubt about it, with the exception of the second goal you have to say against Manchester City which I think he’ ll know that he should have saved.”

He added: “But I think from Dean Henderson’ s point of view, he needs to start looking after Dean Henderson.”

“Newcastle are a club who are on the go and on the move but they are also in a perilous position right now.”

“New manager. It’ s important to get your spin right and the goalkeeper is the integral part of that.”

“He should go and should go as soon as he possibly can.”
