Following the goal, the centre-back celebrated by cupping his hands to the crowd and then putting his fingers in his ears.
However, Pundits deciphered that to be a slam directed to his critics who have knocked him hard over his poor performance for his club side in recent weeks.

Being one of Maguire’s critics, Keane became up in arms about his jubilation to have regarded him as a disgrace and embarrassment.
Keane said during half-time of ITV’ s coverage:“He’ s put his hands to his ears like he’ s shutting the critics up, but I think that’ s embarrassing. ”
“He’ s been a disgrace the last few months for Man United. He thinks because he’s scored there, he’ s going to shut his critics up? Embarrassing.”
