Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The former aviation minister has been under investigation over an alleged forgery and manipulation of documents.

FFK, who just recently joined All Progressives Congress was said to have been brought to the EFCC Lagos Zonal Office on Tuesday.

While details of the arrest were still sketchy as of press time, the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Fani-Kayode’s arrest saying;

“I think something like that happened,” he said and declined to comment further.

Fani-Kayode has long been on a running battle with the EFCC, and was once held in custody for 67 days in 2016 together with, Nevada Usman, a former minister of finance.

The two were faced with a 17-count charge of criminal conspiracy, fraud and money laundering to the tune of N4.9 billion.

While they denied the allegations, the two were granted bail to the tune of N250 million.
