Bayelsa Government Arrests Herdsmen, Cows Over Open Grazing | Daily Report Nigeria

The Bayelsa State Livestock Management Committee in collaboration with the Nigerian Police, over the weekend, arrested some herdsmen for violating the State open grazing law.

The defaulting herders were arrested at Onopa, Tombia-Amassoma road and Zarama respectively.

The arrest was carried out by a team lead by Comrade Clever Inodu, the Enforcement Committee Chairman of the Bayelsa State Livestock Management Committee, Comr. Clever Inodu.

Comr. Clever Inodu further warned other herders to relocate to the Bayelsa Palm, the site allocated to them for grazing or they will face the law.

He also asked other Bayelsans to report any case of open grazing to the agency.
