Alhaja Nusirat Saliu ,a very popular trader has been kidnapped by gunmen who invaded Iyemero Ekiti community in Ikole Local Government Area , Ekiti State.
The gunmen were said to have left a farmer with severe head injuries after being macheted during the operation.
They initially pretended to be freindly until all of a sudden they brought out their weapons and started shooting sporadically.

They further dragged the Saliu into the forest bothering kwara and kogi.
The attack took place at about 8pm on Saturday December 11.
An eyewitness said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ikole LGA visited the community around 7.12am on Sunday and promised to rescue the woman and also apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident, adding that security operatives, local hunters and Amotekun are already combing the surrounding bushes so as to rescue the kidnapped trader.
