BREAKING: FG Approves 20% Salary Increase For Police Officers | Daily Report Nigeria

Nigeria’s Federal Government has approved a 20 per cent increase in salaries for officers in the Nigeria Police Force.

This was disclosed by Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, on Wednesday after a meeting of the Federal Executive Council presided over by President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari.

Dingyadi stated that the salary increase for police officers will take effect from January 2022.

He described the upward review as a product of part of issues raised during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.

He further added that the move is aimed at boosting the morale of police officers across the country.
