The councillor representing Ward 5 in the Ethiope East Legislative Arm, Hon Jude Adjekpovu, is dead.
Adjekpou died from bullet wounds sustained from being shot by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that the lawmaker was attacked and shot by the gunmen along the popular Eku/Abraka while returning home from a function last week.
Hon Jude Adjekpovu died in the early hours of Thursday, December 16 in a private hospital where he was receiving treatment in Warri.
Reacting to Adjekpovu’s death, the Council Chairman, Hon. Victor Ofobrukueta, criminal elements in the area are close to being caught by security operatives.
The Abraka-Eku road has become a dreadful route for travelers in recent times with many kidnap and robbery cases recorded in December alone.
