Former Chelsea player and manager, Gianluca Vialli has cried out that he’s struggling against cancer for the second time.

An earlier diagnosis almost five years ago revealed that the former Juventus star was suffering from pancreatic cancer.

The Italian manager was however given a clear-coast following months of chemotherapy.

Thenceforth, the 57-year-old has resumed work being part of the Italy national team as a non-playing staff.

Currently, the ex-commentator for Sky Sport Italia said the ‘unwanted guest’ has recurred.

The FA Cup and League Cup winner with Chelsea made the revelation at a London book launch.

Gianluca said:“I feel good, but my journey is not yet complete.”

“The unwanted guest, as I call it, is still here with me. At this moment I am in maintenance mode.”

“The tumour is still there. At times it is more noticeable, at others less so.”

“I will keep fighting because I want to be here for many more years.”

He added: “I want you to have to put up with me for a long time to come.”

“I take that strength from my family, friends, and all those who give me such courage. I can’t thank them enough.”
