Chelsea is set to Chelsea to make a move for the former Manchester United star, Deji Sotona, Football Insider can confirm.

January transfer is around the corner and the Blues are keen to bolster their attacking line with the signing of the player of Nigerian descent.

Thomas Tuchel’s club have wanted to bring the Irish forward to Stamford Bridge last summer but the attempt failed.

However, the club is now ready to make another bid for Deji in the approaching January when the transfer market will open.

Deji happened to be Manchester United’s fastest player reaching a speed of 22.9mph with 1.2mph quicker than Diogo Dalot, the second-fastest player at Man United at the time.

The player’s fast speed and the cutting edge he can provide on the pitch of play have tantalized Chelsea to make a pursuit.

The 19-year-old’s future at present club has become following the departure of former coach, Patrick Vieira to Crystal Palace last December.

Deji, who left United for OGC Nice in October last year is now set to join Chelsea.
