The General Administration of Sports of China has banned footballers with tattoo marks from representing the country’s national team.

According to Marca, the administration has released a sequence of guidelines which automatically debar any China’s player with tattoos from playing for the team.

Also, the football administration has also warned the players against marking new tattoos through such series of principles.

The directive is geared towards appealing to football stars to set good examples for society.

Input was also given to those who already have tattoos on their body to remove it as quickly as possible.

However, this is not the first time we will be seeing tattoos-related controversy in the Asian country’s football after their national team stars were reportedly banned from showing them back in 2018.

In the same vein, The interim managers of the country’s youth teams have also been banned from including players with tattoos in their respective squads.

China have not qualified for the world cup show piece since the 2002 edition in South Korea and Japan, and won’t also feature at Qatar 2022.
