The former Bayern Munich star is, therefore, billed to join his new teammates on Wednesday at Bodymoor Heath training ground.
Having previously spent time together at Anfield, Liverpool legend thought Coutinho will have a great influence on his U-turn to the Premier League.
Gerrard revealed this via a statement on his club’s website on Monday, 10th.
Gerrard said: “His presence will be invaluable, given injuries and the AFCON tournament have reduced our attacking options.”
“He is a player I enjoyed playing with previously and I know the rest of the squad here at Aston Villa will benefit from his quality and experience.”

Coutinho has been on a loan move to the Clarets and Blue for the rest of the season with the club having an option to buy him in the summer.
The Blaugrana confirmed Villa will pay part of Coutinho’s wages as he returns to the Premier League four years after leaving Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Coutinho who joined Barca in 2018 for a £146 million transfer fee has spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at Bayern Minich following his failure to adapt at Camp Nou.
Coutinho now emerges the 41-year-old’s first signing since his departure from Rangers in November to succeed Villa’s sacked coach, Dean Smith.
