Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has has declared his ambition to enter the race for 2023 Presidency.
Umahi stated on Tuesday following a closed-door meeting with the President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Umahi’s visit to the Presidential Villa comes barely 24 hours after the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, disclosed his intention to President Buhari.

Umahi confirmed his intention to newsmen at the State House, said the President asked him to go seek the support of the people.
The governor said he is undeterred by Tinubu’s presence, adding that the contest is not about might.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that Umahi defected from Peoples Democratic Party to the APC in November 2020.
