Egypt manager, Carlos Queiroz has taken a pop at his players (including Mohamed Salah) after side’s 1-0 humiliation against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday.
The dominating Nigeria had a good start to the 2021 African Cup of Nations as they stunned the Pharaohs to the disappointment of their players, coach and even the fans.
However, the Portuguese coach could not hold his feeling but to make himself heard to have said that his team’s performance was very poor.

The 68-year-old also said that they were not on the pitch in the first 45 minutes of the game.

Kudos to Kelechi Iheanacho who has converted the single goal of the match at half-an-hour’s mark at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua.
Queiroz told beIN Sport TV: “The performance in the first half was very poor, and that’s the truth, we weren’t on the pitch.”
“We only started playing in the second half. There’s no clear reason behind this failure and defeat against Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, the Eagles will hope to build on their first win when the go head-to-head with Sudan on Saturday, 15th.
