Gabon’s striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined his fellow countrymen ahead of the country’s African Cup Of Nations’ tie against Ghana.

The Arsenal forward has returned to training with teammates ahead of Gabon’s encounter with Milovan Rajevac’s men after testing negative for Covid-19.

The Brazilians have grabbed a 1-0 victory over Comoros in their opener in the ongoing tournament on Monday.

Recall, the former Borussia Dortmund star tested positive shortly after arriving in Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Also, a fellow country-man, former Southampton and Fulham midfielder, Mario Lemina had reportedly contracted the deadly disease last week.

That has debarred the duo from featuring in Gabon’s first game against Amir Abdou’s citizens last Monday.

Gabon Coach Patrice Neveu told AFP his assistant coach Yala Anicet equally tested positive after taking a lateral flow test.

Neveu said:  “They underwent a PCR test and are isolating in their hotel.”

That said, Gabon have had a troubled build-up to the biennial continental showpiece tournament.

The Gabonese government needed to decide a dispute between the players and the federation over match bonuses while the Confederation of African Football (CAF) lambasted them for violating the rules in changing hotel in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Meanwhile, the Panthers will head on Black Stars on Friday 14th, same day Morocco will be battling with Comoros in the group ‘C’ of CAN 2021.
