Former Chelsea forward, Demba Ba has announced the best player in the ongoing African Cup Of Nations in Cameroon.

The 36-year-old has identified Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane as the best forward in the ongoing African tournament.

The ex-Newcastle star made the revelation via a tweet on his Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, the Senegal forward has registered three goals and six assists in six games at the 33rd AFCON so far.

His last goal helped extend his side’s victory over Burkina Faso in the semi final on Wednesday, 2nd.

According to Ba, the 29-year-old Mane is his best player, regardless of the team that emerge victors between Egypt and Senegal in the last stage of the tournament.

Ba tweeted: “Regardless of the end result in the #AFCON2021 final, Sadio Mane is for me the best player in this year[‘s] competition. #TeamSenegal #MVP.”

Aliou Cissé’s team will therefore,head on Salah’s team, Egypt in the final of the competition on Sunday.

Mane will be clashing against his teammate at Liverpool on the 6th of this month.

The former Chelsea star, Salah has also contributed immensely to the Pharaoh’s victories so far.

The 29-year-old Salah has also been found on target two times with one assist so far.
