Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has reacted to reports that Nollywood is the cause for the increase in ritual killings that have flooded the country.
Music executive, Samklef further added to this widely held belief recently by saying Nollywood is the reason why young boys of today are involved in ritual killing so as to make money.
He said:
“Igbo Nollywood, English, and Yoruba movies are the reasons why a lot of young boys are doing rituals. They keep promoting fetish stuff in all their movies. Nigerian movie producers can do better, Everything must not be based on Juju and religion.”

Responding to the post, Kanayo O. Kanayo vehemently disagreed. The actor who himself has gained fame for acting the role of occultism and ritualist in movies eloquently defined the situation in a video clip on his Instagram page.
