The federal government of Nigeria has given new directives towards the reopening of schools across the country.

In a brief on Monday evening by the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, Dr Aliyu Sani, the government stated that it has concluded plans with school owners to hasten up the resumption of education activities in the country.

Dr Aliyu disclosed that the federal government has instructed the Federal Ministry of Education to liaise with school owners to give preference to students who are close to taking their final exams.

According to Dr Aliyu, school authorities have been asked to prepare students with impending graduating exams to allow them embark on such final exams early enough as government plans to uplift the nationwide lockdown shortly.

Also, the federal government also lifted the ban on worship centres across the country.
