A new twist has been added to the sad story of Miss Uwaila Omozuwa, the University of Benin student who was gruesomely murdered in a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin.

The 22-year old Uwaila Omozuwa was smashed with a fire extinguisher in the head after an alleged gang-rape by her assailants in the Ikpoba Hill area of Benin, the Edo state capital.

New reports suggests that the family of the late 100-level Microbiology student has been receiving death threats from unknown persons.

This was confirmed by Mr Joseph Omozuwa, the father of the deceased student when he appeared on TVC News.

Mr Joseph Omozuwa revealed that he received calls of threats to life through his friend from an confirmed to TVC News that he received threat calls through his friend from an unknown caller.

However, Mr Joseph remains undeterred and is calling on the police to unravel the killers of his daughter and also offer protection for the family members.

Meanwhile, the Police Command in Edo state has given Mr Joseph the assurance that prompt intervention is available for the family.
