Mr. Abiodun Agboola, Publicity Secretary of an All Progressives Congress faction in Osun state backed by Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, has accused the party’s governorship primary on Saturday of irregularities.
Agboola, who condemned the election’s conduct, claimed that the exercise was designed to favor Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
According to a statement signed by Agboola, “verified information from the agents of Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, our governorship aspirant, has it that there are no record and result sheets in any of the state’s 332 wards.”

Furthermore, the majority of the ward collation centers where voting took place lacked proper accreditation. Accreditation was skewed in some places in favor of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, as members of the group were allowed to pass through the process without much ado.
“The names of a sizable number of APC members who wanted to vote for Adeoti were missing from the party’s register.” This is what we intended when we called for the display of the party register prior to the primary.”
He also claimed that Oyetola’s appointees were used as Collation Officers for the exercise, claiming that this made election manipulation easy.
