Following a temporary shutdown owing to a coronavirus scare, the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has resumed at it’s new corporate headquarters.
The committee relocated from the old 167 Aba Road office of the NDDC to the new permanent corporate headquarters of the commission.
Acting Managing Director of the commission, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, stated that the relocating to the new office would place the NDDC on a better pedestal to deliver it’s central mandate.

The Director of the NDDC on Corporate Affairs, Charles Odili, in a statement revealed that Prof Pondei spoke after resumption of work at the new corporate headquarters alongside Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, the Executive Director on Projects.
Prof Pondei emphasized that the relocation would foster improvements in the service rendering of the NDDC, as they would be more, digitalised, automated, and professional.
Pondei assured that the 13-floor permanent headquarters of the Commission would be completed and commissioned in the very near future President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Chairman of the Interim Management Committee regretted that the border closure caused by the coronavirus pandemic delayed the installation of some major facilities.
The new corporate headquarters would accommodate all directorates and departments of the NDDC, according to the IMC Chairman who described the office as a one-stop-shop.
He further commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio for their efforts towards the NDDC.
