Nigeria’s highly anticipated music award show, The Headies has been scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Atlanta, USA.
Ayo Animashaun, the show’s creator, revealed this during The Headies Big Announcement event, which aired on HipTV on Tuesday.
The event, hosted by actress Nancy Isime, would feature performances by dancer Kaffy and singer Goya Menor.

Notably, the award show, which has traditionally been held in Lagos, will be held outside of Nigeria for the first time.
The 2022 edition will be held at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
It was also revealed that the winner of the coveted Next Rated category would receive a brand new Bently SUV.
The Headies, formerly known as the Hip Hop World Awards, were founded in 2006 to recognize artists’ outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.
