Npower National Social Investment Scheme is an initiative of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, driven by it’s vision to uplift hundred million Nigerians from the shackles of poverty.

N-Power is further linked to the Federal Government’s policies in the economic, employment and social development arenas.

Tackling the drawback of unemployment is one of the majors aspects of the country the program seeks to curtail.

The scheme which originally started in 2016 currently have five hundred thousand (500,000) Nigerian youths under it’s payroll.

The Npower Scheme last took in applications way back in 2018, adding a fresh three hundred thousand beneficiaries to it’s previous two hundred thousand youths enrolled in 2016.

The Npower Scheme was designed to employ skilled, and technically sufficient Nigerian youths for time frame of 24 months.

It is worthy of note here that the first batch of beneficiaries of the Npower scheme have being in the programme for almost a double of that time frame.

Last week, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development announced that the current set of beneficiaries are due to exit the programme, thus the need for a new set of applicants.

The ministry revealed that the first batch (Batch A) of beneficiaries will exit the program on June 30th, while Batch B will exit the scheme by the end of July.

Who Can Apply for Npower 2020

The Npower 2020 application is open for varying categories of eligible Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35.

  1. People with Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
  2. People with National certificate of examination (NCE).
  3. Higher National Diploma (HND)
  4. Bachelor degree
  5. You must be between the ages of 18 – 35.

  5. National Youth Service Certificate
  6. Birth Certificate
  7. Local Government Identification letter
  8. Bank Verification Number
  9. Phone Number
  10. Bank Account Number
  11. Bank name
  12. State origin, LGA, Community
  13. Residential Address
  14. State of Resident
  15. Local Government of Resident
  16. The program you prefer
