United States President, Joe Biden, has announced that the US is targeting the pillar of Russian economy by banning all importation of oil and gas from the country, following the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The US is one of the major buyers of Russian oil.
The US President announced the development in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.

He said, “Today, I’m announcing that the United States is targeting a main artery of Russia’s economy. We are banning all imports of Russian oil and gas”.
