Youngest Commissioner In Oyo State Tests Positive for COVID-19

Oyo state youngest Commissioner, Seun Fakorede, has allegedly tested positive for coronavirus.

The 28-year-old Commissioner For Youth Development and Sport in Oyo state, had reportedly gone into isolation so as to avoid further spread of the pandemic virus.

When interviewed, he said he didn’t know how he contracted the virus as he always ensured to routinely take all necessary precautions.

He enjoined the public not to panic as COVID-19 is not a death sentence, citing how his boss, Seyi Makinde, conquered the deadly virus.

Fakorede disclosed that he was asymptomatic as of Friday morning, saying he is safe and sound. He pleaded to the public not to panic as there is no cause for alarm.

Fakorede also promised to continue adhering strictly to the directives of the incident management for the Oyo state response to COVID-19.

Oyo state has recorded over 1,000 cases of coronvirus, with 291 recoveries and 9 deaths.
