BREAKING: Former Nigerian Senator, Patrick Osakwe is Dead | Daily Report Nigeria

A former Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Patrick Osakwe is dead.

Sen Osakwe died in a hospital in London, United Kingdom on Tuesday evening.
He hailed from Ugili-Amai in Ndokwa-west L.G.A of Delta State Nigeria. Osakwe obtained a B.Sc, M.Sc, LLB and BL from University of Benin.

Patrick Osakwe was first elected into the Red Chambers in 1999 under the platform of Accord Party, before being re-elected in 2003 and 2007 under the People’s Democratic Party.

Born August 11, 1948, Osakwe was succeeded at the National Assembly by the incumbent governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in 2011.

His family was yet to make an official statement as of press time.
