Buhari Under Fire For Apologizing To Nigerians Over Fuel Scarcity

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for apologizing to Nigerians amid the ongoing lack of petrol and power supply in Nigeria.

In recent weeks, Nigeria battles fuel scarcity and nationwide blackout due to the collapse of the national grid.

President Buhari had on Wednesday, in a statement released by Garba Shehu, apologized for the inconvenience caused to Nigerians following a prolonged shortage of petroleum products.

Reacting to the president’s apology, Omokri, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday, said: “The best apology Buhari can give over this crippling fuel scarcity is not a Facebook post, rather it is for him to return home and fix the problem.

“Out of greed and lack of trust, he appointed himself oil minister. Buhari can’t minister our fuel needs from London!”
