The Ohaneze Youth Council of Nigeria has accused the Fulani tribe of causing the Nation’s backwardness.

According to the statement released from the council’s National President, Igboayaka O. Igboyaka, he blamed the tribe (Fulani) for causing Nigeria’s mayhem as the Fulanis have ruled the country for several years, and yet nothing to show forth as achievement.

While reacting to a remark made by the Arewa Youths Forum President, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, that no Igbo man will rule the country, Igboayaka disagreed with such statement as he said that the Fulanis have ruled the country with Five military Heads of State and Three civilian Presidents in fifty years. And despite the long tenure, the Fulanis cannot account for any achievement.

“This simply shows that they lack the capacity to govern the country,” He said.

He beckoned on the youths of the North and South West to campaign vigorously for an Igbo man as the country’s next president. According to Igboayaka, the Igbos are the key to rapid development in the country.
