“God Lives in His Word and Not Heaven” – Johnson Suleman

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry, has responded to the social media trending question, “If God created Heaven, where was He living before He created Heaven?”

In one of his sermons, Nigerian pastor Abel Damina stated that God does not reside in heaven.
He based his claim on Genesis 1:1, which states, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” He wondered where God was living before he created heaven and earth.

However, it appears that Apostle Suleman has found an answer to the question.

He said:

“In the Bible, when they could not find Jesus, they began to look for Him among His friends. To look for God among men is a wrong step. To look for God, you must look for Him in His Word. That is where He lives.

God does not live in Heaven, God operates from Heaven. Heaven is His office. Do you sleep in your office? No! So when Jesus said our Father who is in Heaven, He wasn’t saying that God stays in Heaven. He was saying that God operates from there.

The Bible said Heaven is your throne. Do you sleep on the throne? Now answer these questions. Who made Heaven? If God made Heaven, where was He living before He created Heaven? If God created the Heavens and the Earth in the beginning, He must be living somewhere. Therefore, God lives in His Word and not Heaven.”
