Police officers in Gombe have arrested 3 suspects over unlawful possession of fresh human head in Gombe State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ishola Babaita, said the suspects: Yale Saleh (27), Baba Muhammadu (24) and Aminu Salisu, 22 all of Dinawa village in Kwami Local Government Area of the state were arrested on March 30 with a human head, following credible information.
According to CP Babaita, preliminary investigation revealed that the three suspects dug a grave in the night and cut off the head of a male deceased (name withheld), who was buried on March 28 morning at Dinawa village cemetery.

The suspects further confessed to having dug the grave of a deceased woman name yet to be known at the same Dinawa village cemetery and cut off her head.
The police boss added that an effort been made to recover the second head.
The case however, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and prosecution.
