The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, has joined the Osun state gubernatorial race.
Yusuf declared his intention after defecting to the Labour Party (LP).
He recently dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), after losing the party’s gubernatorial primary election to Governor of the State, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The defection of the former Deputy Speaker to LP will enable him contest the forthcoming July 16 governorship election in the state if given the mandate by the party ticket.
