The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Captain John Roland Tonlagha as Executive Commissioner in the board of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
Tonlagha was approved as Executive Commissioner on Health, Safety, Environment and Community, following a screening on Tuesday.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that Captain Tonlagha was part of those appointed by the presidency as members of the Commission on January 5, 2022.

Other members also screened and confirmed includes Dr. Nuhu Habib, Member/Executive Commissioner Development and Production; Dr. Kelechi Onyekachi Ofoegbu, Member/Executive Commissioner, Economic Regulations and Strategic Planning; and Mr. Jide Adeola, Corporate Services and Administration.
Meanwhile, Senator Margret Chuba Ukadigbo was made Chairman of the board, with Mele Kyari retaining his position as Chief Executive Officer, while Umar Ajiya emerged Chief Financial Officer.
