Chief (Capt) Iyelagha Buried in Ogulagha Amidst Fanfare | Daily Report Nigeria

The burial ceremony of Chief Capt. Okekiri Iyelagha, the Fungewei of Ogulagha Kingdom held on Friday at Ogulagha, the traditional headquarters of Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu local government area of Delta State.

The revered community leader had joined his ancestors in the early hours of February 3, 2022 following a brief illness.

The burial ceremony was kick-started with a Service of Songs at his residence in Amukpe, Sapele on Wednesday April 20,

Interment followed at his compound in Ogulagha, on Friday, April 22, alongside a social wake keep.

The late Fungewei of Ogulagha kingdom was finally laid to rest on Saturday morning in his compound.

Families, friends, colleagues and well-wishers filled the venue to celebrate the final rites of the octogenarian.

The who is who in Ogulagha Kingdom, Traditional Council of Chiefs, political class, Christian brethren, non-governmental organizations, businessmen, amongst others.
