Lawmakers Suspend Council Chairman in Kano | Daily Report Nigeria

The Chairman, Bichi Local Government Area, Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo, has been suspended for three months.

He was suspended on Wednesday April 27, by the Kano Council Councilors.

The leader of the Council, Muhammad Tinki, told newsmen that the LGA Chairman had failed to discharge his constitutional duties in the local government.

He added that the suspension followed a unanimous decision taken by the councillors after due deliberations in the meeting they summoned recently.

“Now, he will serve the suspension and the committee constituted to investigate the matter will submit its report and recommendations in due course,” he said
