Men of the Edo state Police Command has arrested a middle-aged man identified as Collins Edahbor, for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old housemaid in Benin.
According to residents of the area, the victim who was brought in from Benue state, was on her way to fetch water for her guardian when she was allegedly ambushed by the suspect, who pulled her into the bus and assaulted her.

The victim was said to have been taken to a private doctor who stitched her private part.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Kontongs Bello, said the command is investigating the matter, adding that the suspect will be charged accordingly at the end of the investigation.
