A residential building was razed along Atufe Road by Major Bowen Junction, Sapele, headquarters of Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State destroying Properties worth millions of naira.
It was gathered that the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
Witnesses said that the building was 80 percent destroyed before fire fighters from Delta State Fire Service arrived at the scene to curtail the inferno.

It was gathered that the residents were unable to reach the officials of the State Fire Service until after much havoc had been done.
However, operatives of Seplat Fire Service, an oil firm in Sapele, were said to have later responded to distress calls from well-meaning people in the community.
It was gathered that the Seplat Fire Service officials eventually succeeded in putting out the raging fire.
The Police Public Relations Officer from Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments on the incident, as of the time of filing this report
