Dr. Okechukwu Okoye, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, representing Aguata North Constituency, has been beheaded by his abductors.
Dr. Okechuckwu, popularly known as “Okey Di Okay” was abducted on Thursday, with his assailants killing the orderly attached to the lawmaker.
Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Chukwuma Soludo, who hails from the same community with the victim, had confirmed Okoye’s kidnap on Thursday.

Soludo had during the presentation of the 2022 revised budget to the Anambra State House of Assembly, assured that the lawmaker would be rescued soon as possible.
However, the freshly beheaded head of Okechukwu Okoye was mounted at the Chisco Park in Amichi community of Anambra State on Saturday.
In a now viral video seen by Daily Report Nigeria, the beheaded head of Okoye was placed in a carton close to the roadside.
A handwritten note was also placed by the side of the victim’s head.
The Anambra State Police Command was yet to comment on the incident as of press time.
