The incident reportedly took place at the Ekeugwu-Azuinyaba Secondary School, located within the Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

While arraigned on four counts of cultism, murder, conspiracy and illegal possession of firearms, the suspect, Kingsley, who was not represented in the court, pleaded guilty as he claimed to have been lured into the act by friends.

Presiding over the case, Chief Magistrate Mrs. Nnenna Onuoha said that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter and asked for the case transfer to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

The case was adjourned till Friday, August 7, 2020.
