The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has decried how its members have been consistent victims of banditry and kidnap.
This was disclosed by the national president of MACBAN, Husseini Bosso, who spoke during a conference in Kogi on Wednesday
According to Bosso, herdsmen are also victims of kidnappings and armed banditry that is currently ravaging communities across the country.

Speaking at the conference organized by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), in collaboration with the Northern Consensus Movement (NCM), Bosso said;
“What is baffling is that crimes perpetuated against pastoralists have no traction in the media. Our members have been the highest victims of criminality,” he said.
“MACBAN chairmen in Kogi, Niger, Nasarawa states and five other local government chairmen, including Gwagwalada area council, were all recently abducted and killed.
“This buttresses the fact that we are not spared from the atrocities of the kidnappings and banditry in our communities.”
Earlier, controversial cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi had called on the federal government to establish a ministry of herdsmen affairs, to help address the challenges faced by the cattle breeders.
